Many generator listings show two power figures. Rated power describes the ongoing output reference, while peak power describes a higher short-duration output reference. The exact definitions and test conditions must come from the model datasheet.
When comparing suppliers, record both values in separate columns. Do not choose a generator using peak power alone. Explain the load, starting current and expected duty to the supplier, then confirm the recommended configuration.
If a listing has conflicting values, keep the conflict visible and request the original datasheet or nameplate confirmation.
