Before an import order, request the documents that describe the exact model and destination configuration.
Start with the datasheet, nameplate image, manual, packaging artwork and available certification or test reports. Check model code consistency across each file. Confirm voltage, frequency, phase, fuel, power and starting method.
Certification coverage must be checked by model and market. A document for one configuration should not automatically be presented as coverage for every generator in a catalogue. Keep missing documents marked pending until the supplier provides them.
