List two portable sets as a parallel pair only with kit identity, revision and maker proof. This is not industrial N+1 paralleling.

In this guide5 sections

Two portable generators become a listed pair only when the kit, both set revisions and the maker’s pairing proof share one SKU card. Similar boxes plus a cable are HOLD. This page is for importers, distributors and rental fleets who want to sell or rent a pair. It is not industrial N+1 plant paralleling.

ISO 8528-1 is generating-set terminology. It does not approve a retail parallel kit.

A parallel SKU is a listed pair, not two similar boxes

Write both generator model codes, both serial-range or revision fields if used, and the kit model. “Two inverters, kit available” does not pass.

If the two sets have different rated output, different outlets or different firmware, require the maker document that still allows that mix. Absent that file, list them as two singles.

Combined wattage on a web card is HOLD until rated and peak of each set and of the pair are labelled separately, as in the rated versus peak guide.

A listed pair: set A, set B and a named kit forming one SKU, versus two unmatched boxes
Unmatched boxes stay two SKUs. The diagram is not a wiring method.

Kit identity and revision must match both set manuals

The kit part number must appear in both set manuals or in one pairing list that names both models and the kit revision. A third-party cable with no maker list is HOLD.

Connection order, economy-switch match, and “connect with sets off” rules belong in the kit manual. Do not write a house procedure in place of that file.

Outlet identity of the pair follows the outlet and plug guide. Voltage and frequency of both sets must match the voltage and frequency checklist.

OSHA, Using Portable Generators Safely is outdoor-use and cord context. It does not list compatible kits.

Do not treat portable kits as industrial N+1 paralleling

Plant paralleling uses controllers, protection and often a closed-transition scheme that this kit page does not specify. Do not copy an industrial paralleling white paper onto a portable pair RFQ.

If the buyer needs N+1 for a stationary plant, stop this SKU path. Portable kits do not become a switchboard.

Four proof gates: both model codes, kit part and revision, maker pairing list, and electrical version match
A failed gate returns the pair listing. Gates are not BEAR test results.

Parallel-kit HOLD table

Field Passes HOLD
Pair identity Both set models and kit model named “Parallel ready” with no kit
Revision Manual or pairing list matches both revisions Mixed firmware or outlets with no file
Maker proof Maker pairing list or both manuals name the kit Third-party cable only
Output labels Each set and the pair split rated/peak One combined wattage
Electrical version Voltage, frequency, phase match 50 Hz paired with 60 Hz
Procedure Kit manual owns connection order House wiring note replaces the kit file
Plant mix Industrial N+1 left off this card Plant paralleling copied onto a kit SKU
Five stacked proof layers: set A, set B, kit identity, pairing list, listed-pair SKU
The stack is a listing checklist, not a paralleling controller.
White cabinets in a row on an assembly conveyor, visual context only
Assembly photograph for visual context only. It does not prove a listed parallel pair or kit.

What to send with the request

State the market, application, load, voltage, frequency, phase, quantity of pairs, both model codes if known, kit part if known, and the files you already hold.

Ask the supplier to return both set identities, kit identity and revision, the pairing list, pair rated/peak labels, outlet photos and the kit manual. Start from the gasoline generator category. Pair listing is confirmed only on the named kit through the project form.
